Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Actual Budget ("App"), published on the App Store as "Actual Budget Spendıng Tracker", you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the App.

2. Description of Service

Actual Budget is a personal finance management application that helps users:

• Track income and expenses
• Set and monitor budgets
• Establish savings goals
• View financial insights
• Manage multiple currencies
• Receive smart notifications to stay on track

Your budget records are stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, sync through Apple's CloudKit service in your private iCloud database.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your device and iCloud account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Ensuring the accuracy of your financial data
• Backing up your data regularly
• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the App
• Use the App in any way that could damage or overload our systems
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Notifications

The App provides optional notifications to help you manage your finances effectively:

• The reminders you schedule — weekly summaries, bill reminders, budget alerts and savings milestones — are local notifications, scheduled and delivered by your own device
• The App also registers for remote push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging. A backend we operate stores your push token together with a small amount of technical information so that those notifications can be delivered; it holds no transactions, balances or amounts. Our Privacy Policy lists exactly what is stored
• You must grant permission for notifications to work
• You can customize or disable notifications at any time

By enabling notifications, you agree to receive these alerts based on your preferences.

6. Subscriptions and Purchases

Some features of the App are unlocked by a purchase made through the App Store. Two kinds are offered:

• Auto-renewable subscriptions, available in more than one billing period
• A one-time lifetime purchase, which unlocks the features without recurring billing

Pricing. Current pricing is displayed in the App and on the App Store. Prices may vary by region. Before you confirm, the App Store shows you the plan, the price and any introductory offer that applies to you, and all charges are made to your Apple Account.

Free trials. Some plans include an introductory free trial for new subscribers. Whether one applies to you, and its exact length, are shown by the App Store before you confirm. A free trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.

Cancelling. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions, or from the account menu in the App Store. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds. All purchases are processed by Apple, and we cannot issue refunds ourselves. Refund requests are made to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com and are decided by Apple under its own policy.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is the authoritative description of what the App collects. In summary:

• Your budget records — transactions, categories, budgets, savings goals, bills, accounts and net-worth entries — are stored on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud database, which we cannot read
• There is no account and no login, and the App never connects to your bank
• The App does send product-usage analytics to Mixpanel and Firebase, and some of those events include monetary amounts. Merchant names, notes, individual transaction descriptions and account names never leave your device
• Nothing is sold, rented or shared with advertisers or data brokers, and the App does not track you across other companies' apps or websites

8. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Halim Öztürk and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without any warranties, expressed or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will function uninterrupted or error-free
• All defects will be corrected
• The App will meet your specific requirements
• The financial calculations will be 100% accurate in all scenarios

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Halim Öztürk shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App.

11. Financial Advice Disclaimer

Important: Actual Budget is a tool for personal finance management. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice. You should consult appropriate professionals for advice specific to your situation.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
